Terms
Last updated October 20, 2026
These are the rules for tickets bought on FixedPlate. By buying a ticket you agree to them.
What you buy
A ticket for one set menu, at one restaurant, on one date and time, for the party size shown. The restaurant prepares and serves it; FixedPlate sells the ticket and takes the payment for the restaurant.
Price, tax and tip
You pay the package price now. Sales tax and your tip are paid at the restaurant, on the package price, the way any check works. For pickup, sales tax is paid at the counter. Anything you order beyond the package is paid at the restaurant.
Changing or cancelling
- Change the time or cancel for a full refund until 48 hours before your time, from your ticket.
- After that, the restaurant prepares your evening: there is no refund for a missed evening, and the restaurant decides on any change.
- Can't make it? Give your ticket to anyone. Whoever has the code is the guest.
If the restaurant changes your time
We tell you right away. If you didn't ask for the change, you can cancel for a full refund from your ticket until the new time starts.
At the restaurant
- Show your code or QR code. The restaurant checks you in from an hour before your time until 45 minutes after it.
- If you arrive later than that, the restaurant may give your table away, and the no-refund rule above applies.
- A ticket can be used once.
Refunds
Every refund goes back to the card you paid with. We never give credit or store value instead. Banks usually show it within 5 to 10 days.
Something went wrong
Use “Something's wrong?” on your ticket (open from 2 hours before your time to 2 days after), or write to hello@fixedplate.com. If you were checked in and it wasn't you, tell us at once from the email we sent.
Certification and food
Where a restaurant shows a certification line, we report the certifying agency's own listing as of the date shown. We don't certify food ourselves. Ask the restaurant about ingredients and allergies.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the date at the top changes too. The terms in place when you bought your ticket apply to it.
